What role do Civic Associations play in our community?
Welcome to the website for the Penn Valley Civic Association. The PVCA is one of several local associations within Lower Merion Township. Known informally as "civics," share a few primary purposes:
  • Provide a vehicle for communication from the Township government to our immediate community
  • Provide a forum for discussion of areas of interest and concern to our community
  • Provide a forum for representing our point of view to local agencies
  • Provide opportunities for connecting for fun, volunteer work, and learning together

We meet regularly, and welcome your attendance at our next meeting!

Past Projects of the PVCA

Over the years the PVCA has contributed to our community in a variety of ways, including:

  • Fall 2009: Donation of 10 trees for planting at Penn Valley Elementary School
  • Annual clean-up of the Belmont Ave / Green Lane exit from I-76
  • Purchase of bench for West Mill Creek Park
  • Enhancement of landscaping at traffic "triangles" throughout Penn Valley
  • Installation of Penn Valley historic signs throughout the community
